I was looking up quotes on Happiness, Singleness, and Love and found someone who said this:

I wish I was enough for someone.

One of the biggest lies you believe about yourself after your heart is broken is that you are never enough.  It just means that you haven’t found the right person.  Don’t be afraid of what you might not be.  That will wrap your heart up in protective covering and set it on the top shelf.  Why?  Because you start to assume that you will never be enough for anyone so you start to believe that no one is going to REALLY love you.  You start to be sure that, while they may think you are cool and want to hang out, no guy will want to date you once he finds out you aren’t enough.  And he definitely not marry you. 

Believe you are enough.  God created, shaped and formed you!  We let the men in our lives (or lack of men in our lives) define us.  STOP.  Sometimes they are just as broken and messed up as we are and not the people we need to be basing our sense of self worth on.  Take your view of yourself from God, instead.  You are beautiful in His sight. He says you are worthy, accepted, and a treasured daughter or son.  Because of Jesus Christ we can boldly approach the throne of grace (and everywhere else) with confidence.  

Hurting people, hurt people.  Don’t let someone who is hurt and broken define you.  Be brave and believe that you are worth more than what they may be able to see through their own pain and prejudice.  Love them but don’t let their definition of beauty and what is “enough” change how you see yourself.  A man who wants a slender woman with a beautiful soloist’s voice may not be right for you if you have big hips and can’t carry a tune in a bucket.  Not because you aren’t good enough but because he can’t appreciate your beauty.  Go somewhere you are valued and encouraged.  Don’t stay in a place where you feel you can never be enough.  It shreds your soul and your self confidence.  Run to God.  Let Him tell you who you are, princess.
